Danielsson Dry Fly

This model isn't likely to need any introduction. The Danielsson Original set a new standard for fly reels when it was released in 1983 and it began the large arbor revolution. As a result, the Original - which other manufacturers rushed to imitate for it's superior concept - is now the most copied reel in the world.

This simple and by now classic design offers easy, trouble-free handling. The light weight, large diameter spool counters the risk of spool overrun and at the same time makes for fast line retrieval. Risk of losing a fish is minimised, which makes possible the use of very light tippets on shy fish. The large arbor concept is no longer new, but the Danielsson Original is still the absolute favorite among many expert fly fishers.
